All yarn is from the first fall shearing of spring born lambs.  
 
All colors are natural and undyed and represent the natural color variation of my flock. 
 
This yarn is made from the dual coat of Icelandic sheep.  The under coat, the thel, is the soft insulating wool of the lamb, and the tog is the coarser, durable outer fiber that repels wind and harsh wet weather.  Icelandic yarn makes durable weatherproof, water repellant outerwear garments as it retains the natural properties of this resilient, one thousand year old primitive breed of sheep.
